This is the privacy statement of AR Paard B.V., a subsidiary of L.T.C. AgruniekRijnvallei u.a. This privacy statement explains how AR processes personal data. It applies to all interactions AR has with individuals.

Which personal data does AR process?

Personal data may include your name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, IBAN, or IP address. AR collects such data when you complete a contact form, send us a letter or email, call our sales department, or use one of our online services. You may also provide personal data when visiting one of our branches or speaking with one of our employees. In addition, personal data can be collected in the context of a (potential) customer or business relationship with AR.

How AR manages personal data?

AR uses your personal data to ensure efficient and effective business operations, the delivery of products and services, and in particular for the execution of the following activities:

  • AR processes personal data to carry out agreements and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. For example, AR records the names and addresses of a customer or their representatives and updates this information when changes occur. Processing is carried out on the basis of a contract or AR’s legitimate interest, given that maintaining relationships is integral to normal business operations.

  • AR also processes personal data, such as login details, when customers register through the Mijn AR portal, Mijn Voermeesters portal, and/or webshops. These online services provide customers with insight into their business information, such as orders and invoices. Based on the data provided, AR can offer customers tailored advice regarding feed and/or efficient business operations. Given the feed-related and business-oriented nature of this advice and AR’s focus on optimizing services, this processing is based on legitimate interest. AR may also use this data for purposes such as complaint handling.

  • For marketing activities, AR processes personal data of (potential) customers and members, such as address details, email addresses, business and sector information, and visits to our online services. Where necessary, this data is processed on the basis of consent. For direct marketing purposes, personal data of customers and members is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, as these activities are considered part of AR’s normal business operations.

  • For communication purposes, such as providing information about products, services, and events through newsletters, online services, or social media, AR may process the contact details of customers and members. In this context, AR may also provide (financial) information to analysts, the press, and/or other parties who have provided their contact details for this purpose. Consent is requested in advance for providing information via newsletters. With respect to cookies, please refer to our cookie policy. For all other communication purposes, the legal basis is AR’s legitimate interest, since such activities fall within normal business operations.

  • To improve its services, AR uses customer data such as information about the delivery of products and services, visit reports, (financial) figures, or technical (business and animal) results, for internal analyses and to measure and enhance product and business performance. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest, as the processing is necessary within AR’s normal business operations.

  • Through the “Careers” section of AR’s websites, job applicants can provide personal data such as contact details and CVs on the basis of consent. Applicants may also use a link to share their LinkedIn profile or a similar service. AR uses this information to assess whether an applicant will be invited for an interview.

  • For financial administration and internal control purposes, AR processes data such as invoice and payment information. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract

  • To ensure the security of individuals (such as visitors and employees), information, buildings, and products, visitors to our locations may be asked to provide their name and company details. At all AR sites, camera surveillance may also be used. Personal data is processed in this context on the basis of AR’s legitimate interest in ensuring security.

For development and analysis purposes aimed at improving AR’s online services, data such as IP addresses, visited web pages, click and browsing behaviour, internet browser, and the duration of a visit or session is processed. Who does AR share your personal data with, and for what purpose?

AR will not sell your personal data to third parties and will only use it for the purposes described above. In the context of its business operations, AR may engage third parties. Where these third parties process your data in carrying out their activities, the required measures are taken to ensure that your data is only processed to the extent necessary for that purpose. AR will only disclose your data to third parties if legally obliged to do so, such as in the case of a court order, or if prior consent has been obtained.

Data sharing within AR subsidiaries

If you are a customer of AR, your personal data may be shared within AR’s subsidiaries. This may be done for administrative purposes or to create a complete overview of your business and the products and services you purchase from AR. This allows AR to serve you more effectively. The legal basis for this processing is AR’s legitimate interest, as these activities are part of AR’s normal business operations.

How long does AR retain your personal data?

AR does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes described above. The retention period depends on the purpose for which the data is used. In determining the retention period, AR takes into account applicable statutory requirements, the reasonable expectation that the data may still be needed for its original purpose, and AR’s legitimate interests. Once personal data is no longer necessary, it will be anonymised or deleted.

How AR safeguards your personal data

AR has implemented appropriate security measures to prevent the unlawful use of your personal data. AR maintains an information security policy, which is regularly updated in line with new regulations and market developments. In addition, AR has taken measures regarding both physical and digital access security (policies and procedures, IT security, etc.). Moreover, AR employees are not permitted to disclose your personal data unlawfully or unnecessarily.

Requests for access, correction, deletion, objection, and data portability

If you have your own AR account (for example, Mijn AR), you have access to much of the personal data collected about you. You can also amend or delete certain details yourself at any time, such as your account information.

If you wish to access all personal data collected about you, or if you do not have an AR account, you may submit a request by sending an email to info@argroep.nl. This email address can also be used to request correction or deletion of your personal data, to object to its processing, or to exercise your right to data portability.
